What our guests say:

The Blackberry InnThis lovely, peaceful, well cared for and maintained bed and breakfast, located just a short drive to Yosemite is a gem. The owners Steve and Alex are consummate professionals and have created and established a luxury inn.Impeccably clean bedrooms and crisp cotton linens with beds that offer you a wonderful nights rest after your long days at the park. Fluffy towels to wrap your self after a nice hot steamy shower. Every detail has been considered for your comfort. The owner's are very hands on and keep their guests needs a priority. The booking process is seamless, and I was able to communicate with Steve, quickly and easily.Breakfast is served every morning promptly before your day in the park. The breakfasts are incredible. Our first morning we had baked apple french toast with fruit, apple sausages, hot coffee/tea, and orange juice. Our second morning we had a frittata with gorgeous fresh fruit and a croissant, coffee/tea and orange juice. This was all served with a lovely set table, linen napkins and china.Steve is right there to see that everything you need has been provided. The grounds are wonderful and surrounded by a forest of wonderful pines and Sequoias. I sat on the porch, and rocked and soaked up the peace and serenity. The other guests seem to be on the same page, so it was a very easy place to stay.If you are looking for luxury, comfort, peace and a vacation stay with no stress, The Blackberry Inn is the place to choose. What could be better? And just ask yourself, "why not?"

Prior to booking Blackberry Inn we were contemplating an Airbnb option for our stay, but realized the Airbnb options were 1) pricey and 2) far from the Yosemite entrance. I’m glad that we decided to move fwd with Blackberry Inn. There’s a level of hospitality that makes you feel as if you’re staying at your relative’s house: waking up to coffee with a knock on your door, home cooked breakfast every morning and quick chats with Steve about how your day’s going. My partner and I felt at home, at ease and cared for. There’s a cozy at home feel that an Airbnb can not emulate. We both look forward to staying here again. Thank you Steve and thank you Blackberry Inn team!

Great welcome from Steve and looked after us, as he did with all guests. Some great tips - one of which was to travel back a different route than we had planned…and wow what a tip that was 😊🙏

Steve owns a lovely inn right next to Yosemite national park. The place is tidy, calm and romantic. The earyl morning breakfast varies each day and set you up for a day of hiking in the park. Steve is always there to give good advices. He also took the time to help us when we had a minor medical issue.

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at this cozy B&B. We stayed in the Yosemite Falls suite and it was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The porch where we enjoyed coffee and the yummy breakfast was sunny and serene. The property was peaceful and gorgeous. Right after breakfast we drove to Yosemite Valley and we were still able to find a parking spot (!) at almost 9am (it was a Monday). After hiking the Mist Trail it was wonderful to come back and soak in the tub with the bath salts that are provided. We also ventured to the Hetch Hetchy area of Yosemite, the Rainbow Pools, and into Groveland for dinner at the Iron Door Saloon. Overall, it was a great trip and we enjoyed the hospitality of everyone at the Inn and the natural beauty of this area.

The BlackBerry Inn at Buck Meadows. No superlative is too fine for this bed and breakfast. It’s one of the most well-thought out and beautifully presented places we have ever been fortunate to have stayed in. A piece of gorgeous historical Americana but in the English style of B&B. If you are ever in this part of the world you must stay here. Steve and Alex were our hosts and they are truly hospitable. Beautiful breakfasts, make your sandwich for the day’s hiking at Yosemite if that’s what you need, help you plan your hikes. And have so much knowledge about this part of California. We do not want to leave. And there are humming bird feeders on the verandah, exquisite little birds. We stayed three nights. We had the most beautiful time at The Blackberry Inn and would love to return one day.

Where to even begin? We absolutely loved everything about this place and our stay! Here’s why:1. The place is big and charming. The bathroom is spacious and clean, and the room we stayed in (clouds rest) had a living space, in addition to plentiful room for an eating area and a king sized bed.2. The patio. Breakfast is served at 8am on the dot every morning on the outside patio, with a beautiful view of the property. We went in mid June, and were greeted to a delicious meal, sun and a beautiful background of hills, trees and horses every day. You can even order a packed lunch to go inclusive of sandwich, water, and some snacks!3. Maybe best of all, the hosts! Steve and his wife Alex, and his team taking care of the property were amazing. We arrived late in a Friday evening and the owner Steve gave us a call to check in on us, and make sure we had all the necessary details to ensure a smooth and easy check in. He even came and chatted with us a few times to make sure we were having a nice time. His team was also super friendly, checking to make sure we knew breakfast was ready, asking if the food was good, and ensuring we were satisfied with everything.4. Oh and super important, we had a gluten intolerance that they were happy and willing to accommodate. Always super appreciative of this!Overall, it was an incredible stay and highly recommend to everyone who is staying in the region. The property and hosts were incredible We will definitely be back again!!

My husband and I stayed here on the recommendation of a friend. It was the weekend of our son's wedding and this was the perfect sanctuary when the pace of the preparations and the wedding started to overwhelm me. The valley is gorgeous, quiet and serene. The room was lovely and the bed exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious and beautiful as we sat on the porch watching the hummingbirds, the horses and the lovely setting. I would highly recommend the Blackberry Inn.

Awesome stay at the BlackBerry Inn this week. My bf and I stayed in the honeymoon suite, very comfortable spacious room with a wonderful jacuzzi tub including complimentary bath salts which were just what we needed after a long day of hiking! The owners are so welcoming, lovely people who have thought of everything to make the stay the absolute best. Although the Yosemite entrance on this side of the park was closed due to road damage during our time here, it was still the best spot to stay. We drove the 2 hour drive around to the park one day to get to Yosemite Valley and the second day we opted to do Hetch Hetchy Trail which was closer to the Inn, and to be honest this ended up being the best. The hike to Wapama Falls was great, not terribly hard and views were phenomenal. We were able to walk through part of the falls, amazing experience.Overall wonderful stay at the Blackberry Inn made extra special by the thoughtful and welcoming hosts/owners of this lovely property. Loved the accommodations, grounds and beautiful Arabian horses on the property!

What a lovely place to stay; the rooms are gorgeous and Steve is the perfect host.We knew BlackBerry Inn was at least a 50 minute drive to the park; in the event it was over 2 hours because of a road closure. Was it worth it? Most definitely. Would we stay there again? Most definitely. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

We had a lovely stay at Blackberry Inn and would love to come back. With the road closure of the 120 you can explore parts of Yosemite that are not as crowded but still offer a fantastic experience. Steve recommended the hike around the Hetch Hetchy reservoir which was truly stunning (see image). If you still feel like going to Yosemite Valley, it’s a truly scenic 2-hour drive from here.Needless to say, the rooms were really great, breakfast was delicious and Steve and Alex were delightful hosts.

The Blackberry Inn is perfect! My room was very clean, big, and charming. The setting of the Inn is beautiful, and an easy drive to nearby Yosemite Valley and great restaurants. The breakfast was delicious. Every staff member we met was so kind and helpful. Steve gave us amazing recommendations for hiking and food. Do yourself a favor and stay at Blackberry Inn :).

Perhaps the single best lodging experience we have ever had. The inn, located 14 miles outside the Yosemite west gate is beautiful. The view of mountains and horses from our room never got old. The proprietor, Steve, and his staff, Joanna, were attentive, accommodating, and as nice as people come. This was simply a perfect stay.

So many highlights from the Blackberry Inn - Steve and Joanne made us feel very welcome - breakfasts were very special and delicious (and we ordered lunches which were equally as good), views were wonderful and we so enjoyed our morning walks to visit the wild turkeys and horses. A truly memorable experience. Many thanks!!! Cindy and Joe

Our stay at the Blackberry Inn was better than expected. We stayed in the Brameberry room - it can clean, cosy and we looked forward to coming back to it at the end of each day. There was a plate of warm cookies when we checked in, that was a nice touch. Breakfast each morning was tasty and quite satisfying. The b&b is only about 15-20mins from the entrance of the park. Steve was an excellent host! If we come back to Yosemite, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else but here!

We loved our stay at the Blackberry Inn, just a relatively easy drive into the valley a bit less than an hour. The rooms were clean and excellent with comfortable beds and furniture. Steve was quick to provide helpful tips on ways we could enhance our experience in the Valley - ways to avoid crowds and see more things as quickly as possible. The breakfast every morning was served promptly and was delicious - in fact Steve knew we were trying to hurry into the park so he even served us a bit early as we were ready! While the sights of the valley were beautiful and amazing, we probably almost looked forward just as much to getting home to the cookies (baked fresh daily!) in our room. We will absolutely stay there again!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Blackberry Inn which is ~20 mins drive to the Big Oak Flat entrance. The owner Steve was very welcoming, friendly, and such an hospitable host. It was our first time to Yosemite and we haven't done our research on where to go within the park. Every morning, Steve would check in with us and recommend hikes and areas to explore and include helpful logistics like road closures, etc. He definitely kept up to date on the going ons in the park. He also recommended good places for dinner - the Lucky Buck (across the road from the Blackberry Inn) serves up honest good diner fare.Breakfast was ready by 8am and set up outside on the porch. As you eat, you have an beautiful view of the property and countryside while the hummingbirds are eating nearby on their feeders. It was quiet, serene and such a relaxing start to the day. The breakfast was delicious and substantial tiding us over until past lunchtime. Our room was quaint and cutely decorated with antiques. It's hot in the summer so we really appreciated the AC and fans to keep us cool. The bed was super comfortable and there's nothing like a taking a nice soak in their big tub after the long day of hiking. The chocolate chip cookies were a wonderful touch. There are beach towels in the closet for any visits to lakes in the park. We had everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others looking for a relaxing stay.

We highly recommend Blackberry Inn. We stayed in Cloud’s Rest and it was perfect. The room was just what we needed, king bed comfortable chairs and a small breakfast table. The bathroom had a large shower as well as a soaking tub. We loved sitting on the terrace outside of our room on the top floor to watch stars at night or have our delicious breakfast served to us each morning. Our hosts, Steve and Alex, could not have been more helpful. Steve assisted us each morning with our days planning. Steve also packed us delicious lunches for our excursions each day. This is an ideal location, especially if you plan to spend time in Tuolumne Meadows. We tried to stay inside the park, but could not get anything reasonable. Turned out great though, will prefer this location in the future and avoid the crowds. We look forward to coming back!

The perfect little inn for a romantic getaway, and to relax after long days of hiking! Every little detail was thought out, the fresh cookies, the yummy breakfast, orange juice and coffee every morning, to the most helpful staff giving us recommendations for our activities. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, and bed was comfortable (and I’m pretty picky). Every night we left the windows open and woke up to the sound of birds chirping. If we make it out to Yosemite again, we will absolutely be staying here. Deserves every bit of 5 stars.

This is a very well done Bed and Breakfast. The location is great, it is only about 15 minutes to the Yosemite entrance gate and about 45-50 to Yosemite Valley. We stayed in the Clouds Rest room, it was clean and nicely decorated. You can tell the place was built to a high standard, from the bathroom to the stained glass. The breakfast served out on the patio was wonderful. The dishes were creative and flavorful, it was really better than a lot of restaurants. The staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, Steve had some good advice for exploring the area. Overall just a very pleasant and relaxing place, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at the blackberry inn during May 2022 for 3 nights. The stay exceeded expectations. Steve and management were very responsive prior and throughout the trip. Checking in was no problem (we got in at 10pm). Our room (Clouds Rest) was very comfortable, warm, and clean. The bathroom and shower/tub was excellent. The morning coffee service and breakfast was such a nice way to start each day before a lot of hiking. On top of all that, the location is as good as you can ask for, just 15min from the park entrance. I’ll definitely be recommending this inn to others who plan their trips to Yosemite.

What an incredible experience staying at the Blackberry!! The attention to detail is overwhelming and most appreciated! We stayed in the Half Dome room and it was perfect. From the amenities to the daily fresh baked cookies, Steve (the innkeeper) thinks of it all. The breakfast provided is not ordinary but rather a delicious full course breakfast that gets your day started off right. The grounds are beautiful and you are close to downtown Groveland which is where I recommend to eat. We weren't a big fan of the very close Lucky Buck, the staff was fantastic but the food not-so-much. The Iron Door Saloon was such a great vibe and the food was delicious with large servings. Another night we ate at Cocina Michoacana and we were impressed! Being from Los Angeles we know good Mexican Food and this place blows away some of the restaurants here. Back at the Blackberry, we were provided everything we needed to plan our time in Yosemite. From Steve's valuable suggestions to the guidebook they give you to use while there. Sitting outside under the magnificent star filled night on the porch with the extra blankets provided with a hot cup of tea (also provided) was sensational. This would be an incredible place to celebrate a honeymoon, anniversary, Valentine's Day or any other romantic occasion. I was traveling with my mom who appreciates the finer travel accommodations and she gave this place a solid 5 Stars and she's hard to please. If you get the chance to meet Joanne, the inn's super friendly head of housekeeping, she will also hook you up with ideas of what to do and will go out of her way to help with anything you may need. Oh....the hummingbirds! We have never seen 20+ hummingbirds feeding at the same time and yet at the Blackberry Inn nature is in full force. Yosemite National Park gate is super close as well, about 15 minutes away. Yet another plus to staying here.

King bed and a bathtub make for a fabulous stay! Hosts Alex and Steve know the area and made great suggestions for hikes and where to go in Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy. Clean, quiet rooms and peaceful grounds. Full gourmet breakfasts, too!

The inn is decorated very nicely and could not be cleaner. We really enjoyed chatting with Steve, he and Alex are excellent hosts. Being about midway between Groveland and the Yosemite entrance is a great location, both nights we were there we went into Groveland for dinner and it was a nice leisurely drive. The inn has an expansive front porch with rocking chairs and blankets that were perfect to enjoy morning coffees while listening to the local wildlife.

We stayed at Blackberry Inn 3 nights during the early spring and we loved this place. The access is easy. We stayed in the Briar Rose room, it is very comfortable, clean and spacious. The home is welcoming with a beautiful decor and a restful atmosphere. The yard and garden are spacious, with horses, deers, turkeys and birds. The breakfast is a magic moment to begin the day: the food is delicious in a friendly room. The Yosemite park is close and it is easy to get there by car in few minutes. Steve is a very nice host, he gave us relevant advise during our trip for hiking, the communication with him is very easy and pleasant. The service is perfect. We will go back for sure and I highly recommend this place. This is at the top of all B&B that I have seen in an amazing place.

The place is beautiful and Steve and Alex are gracious and friendly hosts. Looking out at the horses and deer is country living at its best. The rooms are spacious, clean and homey. The drive to the park is about 15 minutes. We reserved for two days and stayed for four and would have stayed longer if time permitted. Absolutely worth the price.

Steve and Alex went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Literally. We had a homemade breakfast (5-star chefs can't hold a candle to chef Steve's cooking) daily in their living/dining room. Steve also gave us great input on our daily excursions, to make sure we got the most out of our trips to the park and beyond.Alex showed us her horses and talked extensively and passionately about them. The property itself is amazing. The surrounding area and close proximity to the park entrance made it a perfect place to stay. Our room (The Honeymoon Suite), was exactly how it is in the pictures on the website. Best goodnight sleep ever.We felt like we were staying with really good friends, and didn't want to leave. We've stayed at a lot of B&B's over the years, but this one definitely is the best by far. Can't recommend Blackberry Inn enough. We'll definitely be back.Jeff & Susie

We loved our stay! We wished we could have stayed longer in the El Capitan suite! It was quiet, clean, private and charming! Alex, Steve and the entire staff were so friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the extra special touches! My most favorite, breakfast served first thing in the morning on our lovely, private, sun filled deck. Oh and did I mention how clean everything was… yes! Very clean- even the deck! All very important to me when traveling! Cannot thank you enough. Loved the soaking tub and complimentary Epsom salts and warm cookies each day.Your property is a gem and it shows that you care for it the same as you do your guests! Thank you Steve for your recommendations while we visited Yosemite!

This was a comfortable and charming B and B. The innkeepers were top notch and made us feel welcomed from the minute we arrived until we left 5 days later. So glad we stayed here, as it was peaceful and serene. Each breakfast was different and delicious. They will even pack you a lunch, for a nominal fee, to take into the park to enjoy.

Steve and Alex were amazing to us during our stay! Beautiful property, beautiful room, amazing breakfast and wonderful people. Steve helped us plan our day everyday in the park which was an amazing resource!!! The soaker tubs are what kept us going through 3 days of hiking! Alex even let us see the horses on our last day! We would definitely come back! Thank you for everything!!

We have stayed at many B&Bs in California, Nevada and Oregon over many years. This B&B experience checks all of the boxes to deserve my highest rating. Easy access, close parking, fresh updated buildings and beautiful grounds. Great antique décor, most comfortable bed and quietest AC. Breakfasts were outstanding, brought to us every morning by Jo Ann the most amiable person I have met in a while. It's clear to me that the owner Steve has committed to having the best B&B on all levels.

From the moment we pulled up to The Blackberry Inn (at 9 pm) to see our porch lights on, our room lights on, the air conditioning set at a comfortable setting and the ceiling fan moving the air around, the keys waiting for us exactly were we expected them to be and a plate of fresh chocolate chips cookies wrapped in plastic wrap, I knew I stumbled upon a first class B&B. You knew the minute you met Steve and Alex that they truly enjoy what they do. They were kind, warm, friendly and just genuine people. We began every morning with a wonderful breakfast the minute we walked out our French doors, set up on our cozy porch. And we were welcomed back home every evening with a plate yummy chocolate chip cookies. Steve is a first class host who helped us navigate the park by taking the time to talk with us about what we were interested in and what kind of experience we wanted. He offered some recommendations that we were thrilled to explore and enjoyed. He knew of every hike we had picked out and helped map up a plan for us so we didn’t waste time.We stayed in the Bramberry room which was just lovely and comfortable with beautiful solid and unique furniture. I felt that the accommodations were brand new with antique cozy decor. As we looked around the room you can see they take pride in great attention to detail. It was clean, fresh and delightful. Truly a very peaceful stay, a great way to unwind after a long day hiking and exploring. We had to leave at 6 am on our last day and would miss breakfast. Steve wouldn’t have it, so he made sure the coffee pot was setup and turned on for us. He packed us a to go breakfast including to go cups for our coffee. Truly a 5 star experience!

We spent several nights at the Blackberry Inn for our honeymoon. The beautiful picturesque yellow and white cottage is hidden away in the trees and and feels very private. We stayed in the “Honeymoon Sweet” which was a large upstairs room with a private balcony and magnificent bathroom with an extra large shower and jetted tub. Everyday a fresh plate of chocolate chip cookies showed up in our room. Yum! The amenities were wonderful but even better were the people. The owners were very kind and personable, they helped us out with our plans to visit yosemite. They are full of local knowledge about the area. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious and homemade. The owners had a table set for us each morning with orange juice on the patio nearby several large hummingbird feeders that was just buzzing with hummingbirds. We will definitely be returning to the Blackberry Inn in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic getaway near Yosemite.

Our stay was SUCH a delight. Super comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and the hospitality! Steve really took care of us. We were so pleasantly surprised to be treated to breakfast before our hike so early in the AM, and welcomed back to cookies and cold water. This is the only place we’ll be staying when we visit Yosemite. Can’t wait until our next stay!

A small bed and breakfast-like inn, tastefully decorated and impeccably maintained. Recently built but traditionally designed, it is managed by the most charming and fascinating couple, Steve and Alex. Breakfast is home-made and copious. The rooms couldn't be more comfortable. Instead of the big, crowded "factory-like" places in the park itself, this establishment, with no children allowed, is charming and in a beautiful setting. The property includes a horse ranch, run by Alex. Both she and Steve are wonderful storytellers, with lots of different experiences behind them. It's a place you will want to return to, one of the best stays we've ever had (2 nights).

My sister and I recently stayed at the Blackberry Inn while visiting Yosemite, and it was wonderful! The breakfast was divine. Our room (Brameberry) was so comfortable and spacious. The property is incredibly peaceful and quiet. The inn was closer to the park than we expected, which was another plus. If I return to Yosemite again, there will be no question of where to stay—Blackberry Inn hands down.

Great rooms and great service. Breakfast every morning was very good- served on the balcony outside our room. The proprietors Alex and Steve made it a point to stop by and chat every morning and check in. Steve was also very helpful in giving us tips for exploring Yosemite.

This was the first B&B we stayed at and I’m not sure how it can be beat! We absolutely loved our stay. The property is stunning with expansive views and the backdrop is the Stanislaus National Forest. The Arabian horses were an added treat. The room was very cozy and comfortable. The deep tub with the bath crystals were perfect after our hike up to Nevada Falls. The breakfast.... simply amazing! It was definitely like a gourmet meal. It was a great start for a full day of hiking. And last but not least, Steve and Alex were the most gracious host and hostess. They are very knowledgeable of the area and gave us some wonderful tips that we would not have thought of. I can’t say enough about this place. It was great visiting Yosemite but found ourselves looking forward to getting back to the peace and tranquillity this property offers

The room and the property are absolutely gorgeous! They have thought of everything. Also, Saturday morning, we left the property and were parked in Yosemite 1 hour later, taking pictures! (Here is a "pro tip." Plan on staying another day, just to lounge and relax around the property. It is THAT relaxing and wonderful. You can truly unwind there.)

Steve and Alex were absolutely amazing! We are already planning our trip back!!Location: easy to get to, close to Yosemite, set off the main rode, surrounded by pastors and open fields. It was MAGICAL waking up in the am to the sounds of birds, horses and other creatures. The sun rose perfectly. The buildings/rooms: picturesque yellow buildings with porch space for each room. Our room, specifically, had heigh ceilings, a VERY comfy bed and large tub for a post hiking soak (of which Alex provided soaking salts).Food: We CANNOT stop talking about the food. Breakfast was served each morning on the patio with coffee and some of the best OJ. Steve did the cooking while we were there and it was the best eggs we have ever had. And Alex makes fresh cookies which we loved! Also - when we went hiking in Yosemite they made and packed lunches and snacks!!Simply put, Alex and Steve, are wonderful, caring and harding working people. They have put a lot of love into Blackberry Inn and you can feel the love in every aspect of the space.Thank you Alex & Steve. We hope to see you soon!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Steve and Alex are wonderful hosts and are very personable. The property is very well maintained while keeping a rustic feel. We stayed in the honeymoon sweet (not suite) and every day cookies arrived in our room. This place is quiet, serene and makes you appreciate the scenery. Cannot wait to return!

Decided to do a couples getaway for our baby moon and saw this lovely inn near Yosemite. The blackberry inn was the highlight of our trip to say the least! Alex and Steve were the most welcoming hosts and made us feel as if we were long lost family who haven’t seen each other in ages. They were very accommodating of our dietary restrictions for being pregnant and the environment of the whole inn was very clean and the most welcoming environment one could have ever asked for. Our hosts greeted us every morning with a fresh pitcher of coffee hand delivered to our suite. And let me tell you how amazing the honeymoon suite was! The jacuzzi tub big enough for two was a personal highlight. They had all the amenities one could ever ask for and more from bath salts to exquisite soaps and shampoos! The electric fire place, quaint decor, and king sized bed were that of a dream and were the cherry on top of an amazing stay at an amazing inn. Furthermore, Alex shared with us her beautiful passion for animals and took us to her pasture to show us her majestic family of horses! We were able to hand feed and pet some astounding horses which was an amazing experience we had never experienced before and will never forget. Words can not describe the gratitude we have for Alex and Steve for this amazing experience and we definitely will be returning soon.

Our first time visiting Yosemite and we could not have found a better place to stay! We stayed at the Blackberry Inn, which is just outside the park, for 3 nights, and then stayed 3 nights inside the park at Yosemite Valley Lodge. We were wishing we had just stayed the whole week at Blackberry Inn, it was so nice! The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, the HUGE soaker bath tub divine, and the small refrigerator, tea kettle, electric fireplace and wall heater, and dining table and chairs in the room provided everything we needed. Our first night we got pizza in town (Groveland is just 15 minutes away), and were able to save the leftovers in the fridge. They even had a microwave out on the patio we used to heat it up the next night. The grounds are amazing - it felt like we were in our own private valley, with magnificent views of the fall foliage and changing colors on the hills' trees, about 50 wild turkeys and several deer grazing in the mornings. There's even a peaceful walking path that takes you around the little valley and, up under the trees on the hillside, we saw more turkeys and a young buck deer. The owners have obviously done a lot of work to clean up the area and maintain the land.Steve and Alex were very caring and amiable hosts. Upon hearing of my wife's love of horses, Alex arranged a private lesson for her, and spent more than 3 hours introducing her to the horses and instructing her in how to communicate different commands and move them about the pen with simple hand signals and body movements (think Horse Whisperer, here;)). She even got to take the horse on an obstacle course! Alex was so patient and my wife will be talking about this experience the rest of her life. I think Alex plans to offer this as an add-on in the future, and it'll be worth every penny if you are truly interested in getting to know and interact with horses, rather than simply climbing on and riding (we were not able to ride, nor were we looking to do so - these are highly specialized Arabian horses that compete in endurance races all over the world).I know I'm missing something, but really have absolutely nothing but good things to say about our stay here. Oh, the breakfasts were great, too! Definitely better than I can make at home, including an egg soufle and apple french toast. We also ordered the made-to-go lunches, which were perfect for our day trips, and even came with little coolers to keep everything cold and organized.Thank you, Steve and Alex, for a fantastic stay. We can't wait to visit again!

We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay for our quick visit to Yosemite! The location was easy to find, breakfast was superb, and Steve and Alex were a joy to get to know. Quiet and comfy rooms with cookies, and hot drinks when we arrived. Steve went above and beyond to even help us plan our day seeing the sites in Yosemite. Thank you and we’ll be back again!

Oh my goodness, it's hard to know where to begin. The charm of this Inn, the gorgeous setting, the immaculate, spacious room, the attention to detail, gourmet breakfasts delivered to the room, Arabian horses in the pasture. I highly recommend The Blackberry Inn! Steve and Alex are extraordinary hosts that leave no want, need, or desire unfulfilled. I would stay here again and again.

This place is personal and cozy, Steve will help you plan you day over a delicious homemade breakfast. Sitting out on the patio was super peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed watching the wild turkeys doing their rounds over coffee.

Wow were we impressed! We stayed in the Half Dome room and everything was just perfect for us. The place was spotless, every little detail was well thought out, and the bed was super comfortable. The room as well as it's surroundings were just so peaceful and quiet. We talked to innkeeper Steve and staff member JoAnn and both were just so kind and welcoming. Although there were other guests there, the way the place is setup, you don't really see or hear them much, so if you're looking for a quiet place, this is it. Also, the homemade breakfasts and chocolate chip cookies were excellent. We would definitely stay again, and have already recommend to family and friends.

We traveled as a family of 3, 2 adults and 1 teenager. We booked the El Capitan which is the largest room. Stephen was very accommodating to offer us a blow up mattress in addition to the king bed in the room so our teenage niece traveling with us could share our room. The room and really the entire property were gorgeous. Beautiful decor, very clean, antique design, with very well kept furniture and decor. In addition to a comfortable stay, the staff was so kind. Would 10/10 recommend! The location is remote but close enough to a Yosemite entrance. Stephen (I assume the owner) gave us many great recommendations of things to see and do close by. We took his advice and hiked Carlin Falls which turned out to be a highlight of our trip.Breakfast was good and we opted to take advantage of their offered packed lunches. The El Capitan room includes a beautiful wrapped porch with a private section for the occupants use. We opted to have our breakfast served out there and it was wonderful. At night we sat on the porch enjoying the cool evening breeze and star gazing. This room comes with an AMAZING tub. Bubbles and bath salts were provided, but if you’re like me and are particular about your soaks bring your favorites from home. We didn’t hear our neighbors the entire stay though the ‘resort’ was at full capacity. It was nice, it felt private and relaxing.I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay, just ~15 mins from the Yosemite park entrance. Great cooked breakfast eaten on the porch outside our room - and on the day we wanted to be in the park early, they laid on a continental breakfast at an earlier hour - so accommodating. The room was large and clean; staff were very good at taking all the necessary covid precautions; we enjoyed a drink on our porch each evening, and slept very well in the quiet and dark! Great value for the quality and location.

This place is a gem! The facility is attractive and well-maintained. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We left before the official 8:00 AM breakfast most days, and Steve accommodated us with an early yogurt and granola breakfast that worked perfectly. He also packed a lunch when we needed one to take on our hikes. The location is also very good, just a short drive outside the Big Oak Flat entrance gate. This was an unusual year with Covid-19 restrictions in place at Yosemite. The good news, was the crowds were small and the trails mostly empty - especially early in the morning. Steve and his team made every effort to provide a safe environment given the unusual circumstances. We look forward to returning!

Alex and Steve were charming hosts--kind and accommodating, with a good knowledge of Yosemite National Park. They also took preventative measures, such as wearing masks and social distancing. My partner and I stayed in the Honeymoon "Sweet", which was in the newly renovated portion of the property above the hosts' living quarters. It was darling. Freshly baked cookies were served every day; the room is furnished with a small fridge; an electric fireplace provides extra heat if needed (we didn't need it, but the lights added ambience); teas, a tea kettle and instant coffee are for use in the room; and we enjoyed the enormous 2-person hot tub in our private bathroom. The King bed was extremely comfortable, which can be hit-or-miss at some B&Bs. Steve does the cooking in the morning, and he created some delicious dishes and was accommodating regarding special diet requests. The property is large and has a wealth of wildlife to see (including the up-close hummingbirds at the feeders and Alex and Steve's sweet family pets). We are already planning our next trip with them, as we had a wonderful experience at the Blackberry Inn and in Yosemite National Park.

Great lil bed and breakfast in Groveland. Cant wait to come back next year. Perfect place to unwind after a long day of hiking and exploring Yosemite. It was nice to have a handheld shower with great pressure, amazing sample soaps and nice linens. The breakfast is already really good not to mention chocolate chip cookies when you return in the evening. Loved, Loved, LOVED this place.

We went during COVID and for the July 4th long weekend. Steve and Alex have followed the necessary procedures to take care of us and at the same to you can see they put a lot of thoughts in the decoration of rooms. The whole place is welcoming, comfortable, definitely not your average hotel room. Book through their website to find the room you like at a lower price compared to the other plateforms.

There is 3 things to consider with every B/B. 1.) Location 2.) Accommodations 3.) Hosts This gorgeous property has a prime location-15 minutes from the Yosemite gates. Gas station, restaurants and general stores nearby. The location was great. The accommodations were impeccable. The property was beautifully maintained. We were greeted on the porch by dozens of hummingbirds that were feeding at the feeders around the porch. Rocking chairs with blankets were available to sit and relax and soak in the tranquil environment. Our Brameberry Room was meticulously clean and perfectly appointed. The bed was so comfortable and made up with Pottery Barn bedding. The bathroom was spacious with all amenities supplied. We used the soaker tub with the provided eucalyptus epson salts and lavender bath soap after long days of hiking. The L.L. Bean bath towels were fluffy soft and plentiful. The shower was plenty big and there was no problems with the strength of the shower head spray. They provided fresh water, teas, coffee, hot chocolate with milk in your own private refrigerator. There was a fireplace and heater all controlled by a remote. The hosts (Steve and Alex) worked very hard at providing a relaxing and enjoyable stay. They were gracious and informative. The breakfasts were delicious and freshly prepared every morning. We enjoyed the other guests and the daily conversations. Steve is a wealth of knowledge and would always make sure that all questions were answered and you were prepared for your day. Alex made time to show us her Arabian horses that are nearby on their acreage. This is the Best B&B we have ever stayed at (and we have stayed at many)!!! Thank you 🙂

Our breathtaking visit to Yosemite National Park was absolutely complimented by our comfortable and relaxing stay at the blackberry Inn. Alex and Steve are the perfect hosts and Inn Keepers, and were super-knowledgeable in relaying the nuances and insights to navigate this spectacular National Park. Our room was cozy, comfortable, very clean, and efficient. Everything was operable and in excellent working order. Breakfast was delicious and nutritious, and we enjoyed our meal al fresco on a glorious October morning with the sun rising and the hummingbirds feeding.
